Comfort Engineers - Manufacturing Division includes three distinct but integrated metal fabrication areas: a contract manufacturing facility, a duct shop, and a job shop. All of these facilities are located in Durham, NC. Regardless of the facility you call on, we will provide a quality product to your specifications. You can provide us with CAD drawings of your specifications. Or you can even provide us with your hand drawing or design ideas, which we can turn into a CAD drawing for your approval before fabrication begins. We provide value-added service by helping you find the right metal and the right design at the right cost for your application.We have a Quality Assurance Program that makes sure the product you receive is exactly what you ask for. It also incorporates full traceability of the metal used in your finished product back to the steel mill that made it, if required. We are extremely proud of our in-house Quality Assurance Program. We welcome visits to our facility to observe the fabrication process and Quality Assurance Program in action.
Our welders are AWS qualified GMAW welders, by S&ME, Inc, for the following metals: Mild Steel (AWS D1.1) , Stainless Steel (AWS D1.6), and Chrome-moly (AWS D1.1).
Capabilities include: plasma cutting metal, shearing metal, forming metal, sawing metal, welding metal, drilling metal. Metals we work with include mild steel, stainless steel, galvanized, chrome-moly, and aluminum.
